Home Care Funds

The Claims Conference has again awarded Jewish Family Service a grant for home care in 2016.  Occasionally, there are medical/dental emergencies, unexpected bills, home care needed after hospitalization, etc. that this fund can also help with.

Child Survivor Fund

JFS also assists Survivors with completing applications for this fund.  This applies to anyone born after Jan. 1, 1928.

French Railway Settlement

New information is now available regarding this fund.  Please contact JFS to learn more.

Polish Pension Program

JFS can assist Survivors born in Poland in completing this application.  If a Survivor is already receiving money through the Claims Conference, they will receive an application in the mail.  If not, please call JFS for assistance.  This application needs to be completed in Polish.

Legal Issues

JFS continues to work with pro-bono attorneys regarding one-time ghetto payments and ongoing pensions for ghetto work.

Survivors in need of assistance (financial or other) should contact Leah Mueller or Ruth Sherman at JFS by calling 713-667-9336 or emailing rsherman@jfshouston.org or lmueller@jfshouston.org.
